Nanga Parbat is the second highest mountain of Pakistan and ninth highest in the world. This trek leads to the base camp of Nanga Parbat's southern face, the most dangerous and difficult of all the routes to the summit. From KKH at Thalichi, drive through the gorges of the Astor Valley to the beautiful alpine village of Tarashing. From here, it is a two day hike to the base camp, which is set amidst a lush alpine meadow. Enroute traverse the Chumphere and Bazin Glaciers, before reaching the traditional base camp, locally known as Latobah. Trekking peaks Shaigiri 5584m and Rupal peak 5971m are 2-3 days climbed and the approach trail passes through a beautiful lower panorama of this beautiful range. Its sheer south face, called the Rupal ace, rises over 5000m from the valley floor to the summit and offers trekkers breathtaking close -up views.
