Details

The Hindukush Karakorum Jeep Safari Cum Trekking is a mixed adventure combining 4×4 jeep travel with short and scenic treks. This journey takes you deep into the remote valleys of northern Pakistan, covering the Hindukush and Karakorum ranges.
The tour includes cultural regions like Peshawar and Kalash, high mountain routes such as Shandur Pass, trekking areas around Minapin and Diran Base Camp, Hunza Valley, and the iconic Fairy Meadows near Nanga Parbat. It is designed for travelers who want adventure without long technical trekking.

ITINERARY – Hindukush-Karakorum Jeep Safari Cum Trekking – 20 Days

Day 1: Arrive Islamabad city tour and transfer to Hotel

Arrive in Islamabad. City tour and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Peshawar along the GT Road, hotel. (170 km | 105 miles)

Drive to Peshawar along the GT Road. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Day excursion to Khyber Pass or sightseeing in Peshawar. Overnight at hotel.

Drive to Gilgit along the Karakoram Highway. Overnight at PTDC Motel.

Day 4: Drive to Kalash, hotel. (40 km | 25 miles , 1- 2 hours)

Drive from Peshawar to Chitral. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Walk around Kalash. Hotel

Drive to Kalash Valley. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Drive Bomburet to Mastuj, hotel. (163 km | 101 miles , 7-8 hours)

Walk around Kalash Valley. Cultural exploration. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Drive to Gilgit over Shandur Pass (3,810m). (240 km | 150 miles , 10-12 hours)

Drive from Bamburet to Mastuj. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Mornignt in Giglit, afternoon drive to Mianpin. (90 km | 56 miles , 3-4 hours)

Drive to Gilgit via Shandur Pass (3810 m). Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Mornignt in Giglit, afternoon drive to Mianpin. (90 km | 56 miles , 3-4 hours)

Morning in Gilgit. Afternoon drive to Minapin. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Trek to Tagafuri. Overnight at Camp. (Trek 5-6 hours)

Trek from Minapin to Tagafuri. Overnight camping.

Day 11: Diran base camp Full day excursion to Kacheli (Excursion Diran Base Camp, 7-8 hours round trek.)

Full day excursion towards Diran Base Camp. Trek to Kacheli and back. Overnight camping.

Day 12: To Hunza Walk down from Tagafuri to Minapin village, (Trek 4 hours + drive 1 hour), Hotel

Day 13: Day at leisure. Hotel

Free day in Hunza Valley. Rest and sightseeing.

Day 14: Drive to Passu Trek from village to Passu glacier. Hotel

Day 15: Drive to Fairy Meadows.( 200 km | 124 miles , 6-7 hour Jeep + Trek 2-3 hours.) Overnight in Huts

Drive to Tato and trek to Fairy Meadows. Overnight in huts.

Day 16: Day at Fairy Meadow with option to trek to the Nanga Parbat BC.(Trek 7-8 hours). Overnight in Huts

Day 17: Free day at Fairy Meadow. Overnight in Huts
