OVERVIEW & ITINERARY

Details

Nanga Parbat, also known as the “Naked Mountain,” is one of the most formidable peaks in the world, standing at 8,125 meters (26,660 feet). Located in the remote regions of Pakistan’s Himalaya, Nanga Parbat has earned its reputation as a challenging and dangerous mountain. It is the ninth-highest peak globally and is renowned for its steep faces, particularly the Diamir Face, which is considered one of the most difficult routes for climbers.

The mountain has a history of exploration and tragedy. First attempted by the Victorian climber A.F. Mummery in 1895, the first successful summit was achieved only in 1953 by Hermann Buhl of the German expedition. Over the years, many lives have been lost in attempts to conquer the mountain, earning Nanga Parbat the nickname “the killer mountain.” However, its grandeur and beauty continue to attract mountaineers from around the world.
