Thui Ann and Shah Jinali Pass Trek is a remote and adventurous journey through the Hindukush Mountains of Pakistan. The trek takes you deep into the valleys of the Chitral region and across high mountain passes that are rarely visited. It is ideal for travelers who want quiet trails, high passes, and a close look at traditional mountain life.

Both Thui Ann Pass and Shah Jinali Pass are historic and scenic routes, offering wide views of surrounding peaks and valleys. This trek combines natural beauty, local culture, and history, making it a rewarding experience for those who enjoy raw and untouched mountain landscapes.

ITINERARY – Thui Ann and Shah Jinali Pass Trek – 20 Days

Day 1: Arrive Islamabad

Arrive in Islamabad, meet with the team at the Alpine Club of Pakistan for a briefing about the expedition and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Islamabad to Gilgit

Scenic journey through northern highways. Overnight stay.

Day 3: Gilgit to Nialti

Drive into a remote valley area. Overnight stay.

Day 4: Nialti to Musuk

Gradual trek through mountain terrain and villages.

 

Day 5: Musuk to Shotaling

Trek along narrow trails with valley views.

Day 6: Shotaling to Thui Ann Pass (4270 m)

Ascent towards Thui Ann Pass with dramatic scenery.

Day 7: Thui Ann Pass (4270 m)

Acclimatization day and exploration around the pass.

Day 8: Thui Ann Pass to Gazin

Descent from the pass into Gazin valley.

Trek through quiet mountain routes and open landscapes.

Day 10: Dobargar to Lesht

Steady trek through high-altitude terrain.

Day 11: Lesht to Shost

Day 12: Shost to Ishpro Dok

Day 13: Ishpro Dok to Shah Jinali Pass

Ascent to Shah Jinali Pass with wide mountain views.

Day 14: Shah Jinali Pass to Shah Jinali Village

Descend to Shah Jinali Village after crossing the pass.

Day 15: Shah Jinali Village to Shah Gram to Phurgram

Trek through villages and cultivated valleys.

Day 16: Phurgram to Chitral

Final trekking day followed by arrival in Chitral town.

 

Day 17: Chitral to Bumburet to Chitral

Day trip to Kalash Valley for cultural experience.

 

Day 18: Chitral to Mingora (Swat)

Drive via mountain roads to Swat Valley.

Day 19: Swat to Islamabad

Return drive to Islamabad. Overnight stay.
