The Baltoro Concordia K2 Base Camp Trek is one of the most iconic and rewarding high altitude treks in the world. This classic Karakoram journey takes you deep into the heart of Pakistan’s greatest mountain range, offering unmatched close up views of K2, the second highest mountain on Earth. The trek follows the Braldu River and then moves onto the legendary Baltoro Glacier, leading to Concordia, often called the throne room of the mountain gods.
Along the way, trekkers experience a dramatic change in landscape. The route starts from green valleys and orchards near Skardu and gradually transforms into a wild, rocky, and glacial environment surrounded by towering snow covered peaks. From Concordia, you can witness an extraordinary panorama of K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I and II, Masherbrum, and Chogolisa, making this trek a dream for mountain lovers and photographers.
ITINERARY – Baltoro Concordia K2 Base Camp Trek – 21 Days
Arrive in Islamabad and transfer to hotel.
Fly or drive to Skardu. Overnight in hotel.
Free day in Skardu for rest, permits, and preparation.
Jeep drive from Skardu to Askole, the last village before the trek. Camp overnight.
Trek from Askole to Korofon. Overnight in camp.
Trek from Korofon to Julla. Overnight in camp.
Trek from Julla to Paiju. Overnight in camp.
Rest day at Paiju for acclimatisation and exploration.
Trek from Paiju to Khobursay. Overnight in camp.
Trek from Khobursay to Goro I. Overnight in camp.
Trek from Goro I to Concordia. Overnight in camp.
Day trip to K2 Base Camp or Broad Peak Base Camp. Return to Concordia.
Rest day at Concordia for exploration and photography.
Trek back from Concordia to Urdukas. Overnight in camp.
Trek from Urdukas to Paiju. Approximately 7 hours. Camp overnight.
Trek from Paiju to Julla. Approximately 6 hours. Camp overnight.
Trek from Julla to Askole. Approximately 6 hours. Camp overnight.
Jeep drive from Askole to Skardu. Transfer to hotel.
Fly to Islamabad subject to weather or drive to Besham. Overnight in hotel.
Stay in Rawalpindi or drive from Besham to Rawalpindi. Overnight in hotel.
Transfer to airport for onward destination.
Trek to Goro Camp (4500m) on Baltoro Glacier.
Rest day at Concordia. Surrounded by K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrums.
Trek to K2 Base Camp (5000m). Overnight near the world’s second-highest peak.
Trek back to Concordia.
Trek back to Ali Camp.
Cross Gondogoro La Pass (5600m) and descend to Khiyuspan Camp.
Trek to Dalsampa Camp (4100m) in Hushe Valley.
Trek to Siascho Camp (3350m).
Trek to Hushe Village (3050m). End of trekking.
Trek to Hushe Village (3050m). End of trekking.
Jeep drive to Skardu. Hotel stay.
Free day in Islamabad or drive via Besham.
