Details

The Karakorum Batura Trek Hunza is a classic trekking journey through the heart of the Hunza Valley, following the mighty Batura Glacier, the second longest glacier outside the polar regions. This trek offers dramatic views of towering peaks, wide glacier systems, and traditional Hunza villages shaped by centuries of mountain life. Traveling along the Karakoram Highway and deep into Passu and Yashpirt, trekkers experience a rare mix of raw wilderness, culture, and some of the finest mountain scenery in northern Pakistan.

ITINERARY – Karakorum - Batura Trek Hunza – 17 Days

Day 1: Arrive Islamabad, transfer to Hotel.

Arrive in Islamabad and transfer to hotel for rest and briefing.

Day 2: Fly to Gilgit (Weather Permitting), drive to Chilas, Hotel.

Fly to Gilgit (weather permitting) or drive to Chilas. Overnight in hotel.

Day 3: Stay In Gilgit If Fly Or Drive Chilas to Gilgit, Hotel.

Stay in Gilgit if flying, or drive from Chilas to Gilgit. Overnight in hotel.

Day 4: Drive Gilgit to Passu, Hotel.

Drive from Gilgit to Passu via the Karakoram Highway. Overnight in hotel.

Day 5: Trek to Kirgis Washk, Camp.

Start trekking from Passu to Kirgis Washk. Camp overnight.

Day 6: Trek to Yashpirit, Camp.

Trek to Yashpirt with views of Batura Wall and surrounding peaks. Camp overnight.

Day 7: Trek to Kukhil, Camp.

Trek from Yashpirt to Kukhil. Camp overnight.

Day 8: Trek to Guchisham, Camp.

Trek to Guchisham through glacier terrain. Camp overnight.

Day 9: Trek Back To Yashpirit, Camp.

Trek back to Yashpirt, enjoying different glacier perspectives. Camp overnight.

Day 10: Trek to Viokpirit, Camp.

Trek to Viokpirit, passing dramatic ice formations. Camp overnight.

Day 11: Trek to Passu, Transfer To Hotel.

Trek back to Passu and transfer to hotel.

Day 12: Drive to Karimabad, Hotel.

Drive to Karimabad Hunza. Overnight in hotel.

Day 13: Day trip to Hoper Glacier and Back to the Hotel.

Day trip to Hopper Glacier and return to hotel in Karimabad.

Day 14: Dive to Gilgit, transfer to the Hotel.

Drive from Karimabad to Gilgit. Overnight in hotel.

Day 15: Fly to Islamabad (weather permitting), drive to Besham.

Fly to Islamabad (weather permitting) or drive to Besham.

Day 16: Stay in Rawalpindi Or drive Besham to Rawalpindi, Hotel.

Stay in Rawalpindi or drive from Besham to Rawalpindi. Overnight in hotel.

Day 17: Fly to onward destination.
