The Karakorum Minapin Diran and Rakaposhi Batura Trek is a classic Hunza region journey that combines two beautiful side valleys of the Karakoram. This trek takes you close to Diran Peak and Rakaposhi, offering dramatic views, green meadows, glaciers, and traditional mountain villages. The route follows less crowded trails above permanent settlements and rewards trekkers with powerful mountain scenery. It is ideal for trekkers who want a real mountain experience with flexibility and adventure, where nature decides the pace.
ITINERARY – Karakorum-Minapin (Diran & Rakaposhi) Batura – 21 Days
Arrive in Islamabad and transfer to hotel. Trip briefing and rest.
Fly to Gilgit or drive to Chilas. Overnight in hotel.
Stay in Gilgit if flying, or drive from Chilas to Gilgit. Overnight in hotel.
Drive to Minapin village and set up camp near the valley.
Trek from Minapin to Hapakun. Gradual ascent through forests and meadows.
Trek from Hapakun to Thagaphari. Short trek with views of glaciers.
Day walk to Diran Base Camp and return. Stunning close views of Diran Peak.
Trek back to Minapin village. Relax and recover.
Drive to Karimabad Hunza. Overnight in hotel.
Easy walk around Hunza Valley. Visit villages and viewpoints.
Drive to Passu and trek to Yunzben camp. First views of Batura region.
Trek from Yunzben to Yashpirt. Walk along glacier edge and open pastures.
Trek from Yashpirt to Kukhil. Camp with wide mountain views.
Trek from Kukhil to Gusasum. Remote and peaceful trail.
Day trip to Lupdor and return to Kukhil. Explore side valley and glaciers.
Trek back from Kukhil to Yashpirt. Short and relaxing walk.
Trek from Yashpirt to Passu and drive to Gulmit. Overnight in hotel.
Drive from Gulmit to Gilgit. Overnight in hotel.
Fly to Rawalpindi or drive to Besham. Overnight in hotel.
Stay in Rawalpindi or drive from Besham to Rawalpindi. Overnight stay.
Transfer to airport for onward destination. End of trek.
