The Masherbrum & Hushe Valley Ghondogoro Peak Trek is a beautiful journey into one of the most scenic valleys of the Karakoram. The trek runs through the lush Hushe Valley, surrounded by towering giants like Masherbrum, Chogolisa, and K7. This trek is ideal for trekkers who want high mountain scenery without technical difficulty. It also offers an optional non technical climb of Ghondogoro Peak for those seeking extra adventure. Traditional Balti villages, green summer pastures, glacial landscapes, and dramatic mountain walls make this trek a perfect mix of nature and culture.
ITINERARY – Masherbrum & Hushe Valley Ghondogoro Peak – 20 Days
Arrive in Islamabad and transfer to hotel. Trek briefing and rest.
Fly or drive to Skardu. Overnight in hotel.
Free day in Skardu if flying. If traveling by road, arrive from Chilas. Overnight in hotel.
Drive by jeeps to Hushe Valley. Camp overnight.
Trek from Hushe to Saitcho. Camp overnight.
Trek from Saitcho to Spencer. Camp overnight.
Day trip to the base camps of K7 or Trinity Peak. Return to camp.
Trek down from Spencer to Saitcho. Camp overnight.
Trek to the summer hamlet and pastures of Gondogoro. Camp overnight.
Trek to lakeside camp at Dalsanpa. Camp overnight.
Trek to Ghondogoro Base Camp at Khiuspan. Camp overnight.
Attempt the summit of Ghondogoro Peak (5650 m). Return to camp.
Spare day for summit attempt or rest and acclimatization.
Trek down to Dalsanpa. Camp overnight.
Trek down to Saitcho. Camp overnight.
Trek back to Hushe Valley. Camp overnight.
Jeep drive to Skardu. Overnight in hotel.
Fly or drive to Islamabad. Overnight in hotel.
Free day in Islamabad if traveling by road via Besham. Overnight in hotel.
Transfer to airport for onward destination. End of trek.
